NEW TPA COMPETITION CODE OF CONDUCT
Target Pistol Australia and all Member States and Territories are introducing a new Competition Code of Conduct and are now seeking member feedback before implementing the policy.
We encourage our members to read the policy and welcome suggestions, questions, or comments. Please send any feedback regarding the proposed policy to pistol@pistol.org.au before 10 January 2025. You can also provide feedback directly to your State/Territory Association as the National Council will vote on the implementation of the policy in late January 2025.
TPA, together with all Member States and Territories, is committed to providing all members of the Target Pistol community with a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment that promotes the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all participants. The Competition Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of competitors, coaches, parents/guardians, and spectators when participating in or attending competitions in Australia. It also details the disciplinary action and process for those breaching the code.
The code supersedes all other rules regarding conducting TPA or TPA-sanctioned competitions, including any international or other national rules.
The code will apply to all TPA and TPA-sanctioned events.
The code can be viewed and downloaded at this link: https://pistol.org.au/policies/ – when you arrive at the page, click on the link that says – TPA COMPETITION CODE OF CONDUCT DOCUMENT FOR MEMBER CONSULTATION.
