The Olympic Journey: James Nomarhas

In the lead up to the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, we are catching up with past Olympians and Paralympians to hear about their Olympic journeys. Sport Integrity Australia Webinar Series

Pistol Australia in conjunction with Sport Integrity Australia expect to have the approved education plan released in February 2024. In the meantime, the Pistol Australia community now has access to the free webinars run by Sport Integrity Australia. Pistol Australia encourages everyone (that is the whole Pistol community) to take part in the first webinar. The first webinar is on Tuesday 13th February 7.30pm (AEDT) and is titled “Photography, Videos and Electronic Communication with Children and Young People”. 2024 Pistol Australia Metallic Silhouette Team Announcement

 Pistol Australia is proud to announce the 2024 Pistol Australia Metallic Silhouette Team that will be competing in the XVth IMSSU World Championship 2024 to be held at Bloemfontein Metallic Silhouette Range, from June 3 to June 13, 2024.

 

 

ISSF Review Update

Progression of the recommendations from the ISSF Review conducted in 2023 continue to evolve. The Coaching Advisory Group (CAG) have met twice since formed in late 2023. The group are progressing the restructure of the athlete and coaching pathways and will have recommendations for consideration by the executive within the next few months. Consultants Richard Fox and Chris Symington lead the group with the members being: Linda Ryan OLY; Dina Aspandiyarova OLY; Bengt Sandstrom OLY; Bruce Quick OLY; Mike Giustiniano, Comm Games Rep; Jan Ryan; Adam Sachs, Shooting Australia CEO; Paul Steen, Management representative; Kerry Crlik, NCC representative; Karl Friehe, Executive representative; Noel Harrod.

 

H&N Cup Results

As part of Shooting Australia’s Performance and Pathways programs, a number of PA athletes had the opportunity to travel to Munich, Germany and compete in the H&N Cup. The athletes who participated were; Elena Galiabovitch, Alison Heinrich, Katie Nicholls, Siobhan Nicholls, Ellie Rudder and Talia Woodroffe. The story can be found here. Full results
