Launch Of 2019 Pistol Australia Awards

Pistol Australia in conjunction with all States and Territories is pleased to announce the launch of the 2019 Awards. The awards recognise the achievements of the Australian Pistol Community.
The following new categories have been approved for the 2019 Awards:
Athlete of the Year – Male
Athlete of the Year – Female
Athlete of the Year – Junior
Team of the Year – International
Team of the Year – National
WSPS shooter of the Year
Coach of the Year
Official of the Year
Club of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Social Media Contributor of the Year
The awards will be presented at the Annual Presentation Dinner held at the end of the Pistol Australia/ISSF National Championships. The 2019 Awards will be presented in Brisbane on Sunday 12th April 2020. The Awards presentation will be live streamed as part of a special Range Report Show – please note The Range Report will also appear on free to air and pay television services in 2020.
Trophies for each award have been created and will be named after suitable persons of note within the Pistol Community from now and in the past.
Nominations will open on 1st January 2020 and close on 29th February 2020. Nominations can be made by any current financial member of Pistol Australia. The selection panel comprising one Pistol Australia Nominee and two State and Territory Nominees will evaluate all nominations and decide on the winner in each category.
Selection Criteria will be available on the web site and all PA social media platforms when nominations open. We encourage all members of the Pistol Community to start thinking about people whom you may wish to nominate for the Awards.
