Pistol Australia is sad to advise of the passing of Clive Whelan. The sport has lost one of its great representatives and gentlemen.
Clive was Vice President, Pistol Australia from 1988 to 1991 and was Chairman of the NRA Action Pistol Sub-Committee 1988, convened to recommend and overview the introduction and conduct of NRA Action Pistol and holster events (Service Pistol).
Our thoughts, condolences and best wishes go out to his wife Marie and family at this difficult time.
A message from his family:
We regret to inform you that Clive Whelan has passed away. It happened peacefully on 18 December 2018 after a long illness. He was able to say his goodbyes to his family and drifted away the following day.
The funeral will be at 10am on Thursday 3 January 2019 at the Lilydale Memorial Park Federation Chapel, 128 Victoria Road, Lilydale VIC. A notice will be in the Herald Sun Newspaper on 21 December 2018. If you wish to continue on afterwards with family and friends, we will be gathering next door at the Gardiners Run Golf Course.
Clive would prefer a donation online to the Cancer Council of Victoria rather than flowers being purchased.
If you are unable to attend the funeral and want to send a message, feel free to reply here - email@example.com
If you have a favourite photo of Clive please email to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can include it in the service presentation.
With much sadness,
Clive’s family (Marie, Suzanne, Kathy, Jenny & Michael)
PS – We apologise if you receive this notice more than once. Please forward this email onto anyone else who may have known Clive."
